Three Feathers
The feathers have a history, as can be seen from the slight break in one quill, which points to some kind of incident in the bird's life; although since there is no blood on them I like to think that the bird escaped relatively unscathed. The feathers are mid-brown with darker tips and although the carving is extensively hollowed out it is still strong enough to be worn satisfactorily. The Himotoshi is 'natural' and at the end where I have placed my signature plate.
